Within the different species of salmon there is a great variety that differ in their properties and characteristics. Among them, white salmon and pink salmon stand out, but besides their color, do you know the differences between white salmon and pink salmon?
Salmon is a tasty food known as one of the healthiest, due to its Omega 3 fatty acid content, essential for a balanced diet. Likewise, its protein content and nutritional properties make it one of the most consumed fish in gastronomy.
What is the difference between white and pink salmon?
Apart from its distinctive color, one of the main differences between white and pink salmon is its flavor. The most demanding palates compete to decide which tastes better, but what is certain is that both share nutritional benefits. Among them, essential minerals such as vitamin B12, Omega 3, potassium, proteins and other nutritional elements.
In fact, the same dishes can be cooked with both types of fish, since their meats are quite similar and although they are native to different continents, their shape is very similar.

Characteristics of pink salmon

Pink salmon contains vitamin D and although it is an oily fish full of beneficial health properties, it is generally marketed from hatcheries. The main disadvantage of its origin is that its feeding based on food altered in laboratories directly affects a decrease of its extensive properties, in addition to containing pesticides in the water.
